Wheeled excavator EW65: Power and speed, perfectly combined

The EW65 wheeled excavator drives itself to the work site of thanks to the installed road travel mode and does not require time and cost-intensive transport. The variable drive system has a low rate of fuel consumption and, with just one pedal, drives almost like a car. The powerful load-sensing hydraulic system (LUDV) also ensures the same speed for several movements with different loads. With 5 control circuits — of which 3 are individually adjustable — and a triple boom, the EW65 is very efficient and quickly on the move.




Optimal positioning of hydraulic components

Short hose paths result in lower power loss in the hydraulic system. This increases the service life of the hydraulic hoses due to fewer wear points, especially in narrow passages.

The clearly defined hose routing of the hydraulic hoses ensures maximum efficiency by reducing line resistance.


Articulated boom

The articulated boom provides more maneuverability and therefore greater freedom of action. Because the additional joint permits the bucket to be pulled right up to the travel gear or the dozer blade. Ideal when narrow spaces need to be accessed or an obstacle has to be moved out of the way. The excavator also features a greater dump height and even greater digging depth.


3-point kinematics

  • With 3-point kinematics, conventional bucket linkage has been taken to a new level. This “3-bolt” design extends the bucket’s angle of rotation to 200 degrees – 10% more than conventional bucket linkage. This increases the vertical dig depth as well as the digging forces. It is therefore no longer necessary to reposition the excavator as often, significantly increasing efficiency.


Powerful drive system with LUDV

  • Quick working cycles and more flexible applications thanks to the powerful drive system in combination with a load-sensing hydraulic system (LUDV) make controlling the excavator comfortable and fatigue-free. Irrespective of the load to be moved, the control movements on the joystick stay the same. Along with increased operating comfort, this results in a performance plus while simultaneously reducing consumption.
